ICOSPALL 2026 serves as a meeting point for researchers, experts, and practitioners from across disciplines. We warmly invite participation and contributions from, but not limited to, the following sub-themes:

1 Social Justice, Inequality, and Community Resilience in the Pursuit of Sustainable Development This subtheme explores how social structures, cultural identities, and collective action shape pathways toward peace and prosperity in the Global South. It invites discussions on inequality, social inclusion, gender, migration, and community-based resilience as foundations for sustainable and just development.
2 Legal Frameworks, Human Rights, and the Realization of the Right to Sustainable Development Focusing on the intersection of law, governance, and justice, this subtheme examines how legal systems in the Global South uphold or hinder the right to peace and development. Topics include environmental justice, human rights protection, constitutional reform, and the rule of law in advancing equitable prosperity.
3 Governance, Policy Innovation, and Institutional Accountability for Peaceful and Prosperous Societies This subtheme investigates the role of public institutions and governance mechanisms in promoting sustainable development. It emphasizes innovation in policy design, participatory governance, and ethical leadership as key drivers of peace, prosperity, and trust in public systems.
4 Media, Digital Transformation, and the Discourse of Peace and Development Highlighting the power of communication in shaping public understanding and civic engagement, this subtheme invites research on media ethics, digital literacy, information access, and strategic communication for social change. It examines how communication practices influence narratives of peace, justice, and sustainable progress in the Global South.
5 Language, Cultural Expression, and Identity in the Context of Global Development This subtheme focuses on the role of language and culture in promoting intercultural dialogue, educational equity, and global citizenship. It encourages scholarship on English language teaching, World Englishes, translation, literature, and cultural representation as mediums for fostering mutual understanding and sustainable peace across diverse societies.
